The Mountain West has returned to an 18-game schedule for the 2021-22 season. So each team will play eight opponents twice and two opponents just once.
UNLV will avoid a trip to Wyoming, but host the Cowboys. Plus the Rebels will make a trip to Utah State, but not host the Aggies.
The Rebels will open the season on New Year’s Day, as San Diego State comes to Vegas. That will be the second round of conference games, as UNLV has the first round (December 28) off.
UNLV will also be off on January 25, giving the Rebels 11 straight games to end the season without a significant break.
Nevada will come to UNLV on February 1 and the Rebels will return the trip to Reno on February 22.
