The Minnesota Timberwolves have been for sale since last July. But current owner Glen Taylor has not found an offer that he likes.
He even complained that this is not a great time to be selling a franchise.
The franchise’s most recognizable player of all time, Kevin Garnett, had an ownership group that was trying to purchase the Timberwolves. But Garnett said on Instagram that he no longer has a shot at owning the team in Minnesota.
“Sooo just got the news that this process in trying to acquire the TWOLVES IS OVER for me n my group,” Garnett posted.
But missing out on the Timberwolves doesn’t seem to be a deterrent in Garnett’s desire to own an NBA team. His post continued:
“GUESS ITS TIME TO FOCUS ON OTHER PLACES #seattle #vegas”
And:
“Fux dem doe.. your loss.. KEEPING MINE MOVING.. AND WE STILL OUT HERE LOOKING STILL GOING… It’s aww possible.”
How legitimate would a Kevin Garnett ownership bid be for Seattle or Las Vegas? That is unclear. But Garnett seems to believe that his best chance at NBA ownership is with an expansion team in Seattle or Las Vegas.
